RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION OF STAFF AND ORGANIZATION EFFICIENCY OF SPORTS COUNCIL IN KOGI STATE, NIGERIA

This study examines relationship between effective communication and organizational efficiency sports councils in Kogi states Nigeria. To achieve this purpose, one research question and one research hypothesis were formulated to guide the study and tested at 0.05 level of significance. ex- post facto research design was employed in this study. Proportionate stratified random sampling techniques were used in selecting the sample size of 3% (234) from a population of 780. Validated questionnaire was used for data collection and data collected from the research question were analyzed using person product moment Correlation procedure was used in testing the hypothesis raised in establishing the relatedness of the effective communication and organizational efficiency of sports council in Kogi state, Nigeria. The findings of this study revealed that effective communication significantly correlated with the organizational efficiency of the sports council. It was recommended that effective communication that would enhance organizational efficiency should be encouraged in sports council in Kogi state, Nigeria. That is a need to ensure that organization appointments in the sports council in Kogi state are merit oriented since they could be major determinants of the council organizational effectiveness. There should be a need for effective communication to be in place that will lead to organizational appointments of the members of the state Sports Council and organizational effectiveness
