Abstract

Green education is increasingly recognised as a fundamental approach to fostering sustainability. This paper develops a conceptual framework for green education by synthesising theories of environmental education, sustainability science, and ecological literacy. Drawing on existing literature, the study explores how green education can be integrated into curricula, focusing on pedagogical strategies, ethical considerations, and global best practices. The discussion demonstrates that green education extends beyond conventional environmental studies by incorporating sustainability principles across academic disciplines, thus equipping future generations with the competencies needed for a sustainable society.
